 bia\n\n\n\nThe Women's Brain Health Initiative Trainee-Mentor Sessions int
 end to provide students with the opportunity to meet and engage with sex a
 nd gender experts through informal conversations on diverse topics includi
 ng professional development and research. To ensure an intimate and valuab
 le experience\, each Trainee-Mentor session will be limited to 30 registra
 nts.\n\nPlease note that these sessions are for registrants of the Women'
 s Brain Health Conference (2020-2021). If you have not registered for the 
 conference\, you may do so here before you register for the session(s) y
 ou would like to attend.\n\n\n\nIncorporating sex and gender consideration
 s in research can take effort\, but in knowledge translation\, where do yo
 u begin? Dr. Sarah Munro will discuss approaches to knowledge translation 
 that keep sex and gender in mind\, and relate some practical examples from
  her research in sexual and reproductive health.\n\nDr. Sarah Munro is a q
 ualitative health services researcher whose focus is knowledge translation
  and implementation science. Her research focuses on the investigation of 
 factors that influence implementation of patient-centred practice and poli
 cy\, and the development and evaluation of tools that support shared decis
 ion-making for patients and their care teams. Dr. Munro is a Michael Smith
  Foundation for Health Research Scholar and Scientist with the Centre for
  Health Evaluation and Outcome Sciences. Her knowledge translation activi
 ties have influenced health policy for abortion access and informed choice
  in childbirth.
