SUMMARY:Using Brain Organoids to Study Sex Differences and Estradiol’s Ef
 fect During Human Neurodevelopment
DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Dr. Deepak Srivastava\, Professor at King's College Lo
ndon\n\nDeepak is a Professor of Molecular Neuroscience at King’s Colleg
e London. He got his PhD from University of Cambridge and carried out his
post-doctoral training in the Penzes lab at Northwestern University. Deepa
k’s lab are very interested in modelling neurodevelopmental disorders us
ing human cellular systems\, and have had a long standing interest in unde
rstanding how estrogens impact synapses.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nTalk summary: In th
is seminar\, I will discuss our findings on studying sex differences and t
he sex-specific effects of estradiol during human neurodevelopment\, using
brain organoid models generated from human pluripotent stem cells.\n\n&nb
