I completed a bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Montreal and am currently a doctoral student in psychology at the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM; research and intervention profile) under the supervision of Marie-France Marin, Ph.D.

For my thesis, I am interested in the effects of the contraceptive pill on brain development: in particular, I am investigating whether this method of contraception has a long-term impact on the way our brain learns and regulates fear. Data collection for my project involved the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), allowing for the examination of brain structures and activity. I am attempting to determine whether the use of the contraceptive pill during adolescence may partly explain why women suffer more from certain psychopathologies such as anxiety disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder.
