Tashi Stampp

Tashi is a PhD student in Population Health Science at the University of Ottawa, under the supervision of Dr. Anne TM Konkle in the Biosocial Evaluation of Stress and Social Transitions in Mental Health Laboratory. Her recent work explores the psychosocial determinants of postpartum mental health within the Black community.

Building on this work, Tashi investigates how emotional and cognitive processes interact during the transition to motherhood. Her research aims to deepen understanding of traumatic experiences during childbirth, and to uncover the underlying mechanisms that influence postpartum mental health disorders.

As a Blog Coordinator for the Women’s Health Research Cluster, Tashi is committed to advancing health equity by highlighting the often-unheard voices in women’s mental health. Tashi is driven to foster meaningful discussions on sex and gender research and the importance of patient-centered care.
