Jasmeen Sran

Jasmeen Sran is a Bachelor of Science student in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser Univeristy, concentrating in Public Health and Data. She is the Co-Lead of the Surrey Youth Newcomer Council (SYNC), Co-Founder of Women’s Wellness Connect, and Founder of BC’s Childhood Cancer Society, initiatives through which she has advancing youth leadership, women’s wellness, and support for families affected by childhood cancer.

Jasmeen has been recognized for her community impact, recieving Surrey’s Top 25 Under 25 award by the Surrey Board of Trade, an Honorable Mention for the Youth Volunteer award, and being featured in Drishti Magazine for youth leadership, all in 2023. Her academic and volunteer work reflects a strong commitment to global health, health equity, and understanding the social determinants of health. In particular, she is interested in exploring how factors like living conditions influence women’s overall health and well-being.

Looking ahead, Jasmeen aspires to pursue a Master of Public Health to further develop her expertise and contribute to research and programs that advance equitable health outcomes locally and globally.
