Based in Toronto, Canada, Arooj works at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) as Senior Consultant, Strategy & Partnerships. She has deep expertise in strategy consulting across the public sector, with particular focus on education. Previously a Senior Analyst at Future Design School (a Toronto-based education advisory firm), and McKinsey & Company in the Middle East, Arooj has worked with government and private sector institutions to strengthen design and delivery across policy and programming impacting public wellbeing / social outcomes.

Formerly an English & Mathematics teacher at an under-resourced school on the outskirts of Islamabad, Pakistan, Arooj’s work and research has focused on equity, leadership and system-level approaches to improve learner and community outcomes. She has a Master’s in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
