Jacqueline Phillips

Jacqueline Phillips is a counselling psychology graduate from the Honours Bachelor of Counselling Psychology program at Georgian College in Ontario, Canada. Her research examines the menopause transition through a biopsychosocial and interpretive lens, with a particular focus on how professionals understand and support women navigating the cognitive, emotional, relational, and systemic dimensions of (peri)menopause. Her honours thesis uses qualitative methodology and Reflexive Thematic Analysis to explore the experiences of professionals who support women during menopause, identifying how relational, educational, and agency-building practices help women interpret bodily changes and navigate fragmented healthcare and social systems. Jacqueline’s broader scholarly interests include women’s mental health, gender equity in health systems, counselling psychology, and the sociocultural discourses that shape the understanding and support of women’s health transitions. She is particularly interested in advancing menopause-informed practice across counselling, healthcare, and workplace contexts.
