Jennifer Cooney-Quane is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the School of Applied Psychology, University College Cork. Her research explores diagnostic delays and healthcare interactions, and the use of digital symptom tracking in women’s health.

Jennifer guest lectures in Health Psychology and Biological Psychology to undergraduates and postgraduates in the School of Applied Psychology, and has 6 years experience lecturing Biological and Cognitive Psychology in Adult Continuing Education.

Jennifer’s PhD research, in the field of psychoneuroimmunology, explored the realtionship between anxiety, systemic inflammation, and gut microbiota during adolescence and emerging adulthood. This research was funded by a Research Ireland, Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship.

Jennifer received a BSc Public Health and Health Promotion in 2011, a HDip Psychology in 2018, and an MA Applied Psychology (Mental Health) in 2019, from University College Cork.
