In 2019 our co-leads dreamed of a future where women, girls and gender-diverse people could live equitably healthy lives across their entire lifespan. This dream led to the creation of an organization that would bring together a multidisciplinary network of researchers and stakeholders to promote, expand and catalyze impactful research on women’s health, which could help our world achieve sex-and-gender health equity. Since then, the Women’s Health Research Cluster has grown to include >350 faculty, trainee and community members across 17 across who believe women’s health is important and needs their help. Together we’ve supported, educated and connected hundreds of people in our effort to catalyze new research, advocate for more reserch funding and improve research practices. With our rapidly expanding network, we took some time to reflect on why we are here, where we want to go and what the best path is to get there.

Through a Strategic Planning Town Hall and stakeholder consultations, including one with our Belonging, Dignity and Justice Advisory Committee, we developed a 3-year Strategic Plan that will help us get closer to achieving sex and gender health equity worldwide. In our plan, we’ve outlined key goals across our 4 Pillars of Work (Research Facilitation, Capacity Building, Knowledge Translation and Advocacy) and made commitments to growing and deepening our network. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with this Strategic Plan and let us know what you think by sharing your thoughts here. If you love what you see and want to partner with us, get in touch with our Network Manager

Our work wouldn’t be possible without the financial support of people who believe that women and men should enjoy equitably healthy lives.

We thank all of the people and organizations that have supported our work in the past and ask that you consider giving us a one-time or monthly gift to help us continue working towards our shared vision for the future.
