Alyssa Georgescu
Alyssa Georgescu is a Master of Science student in Neuroscience at McMaster University, specializing in Clinical and Health Neuroscience. Her research focuses on premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and sleep difficulties, with an emphasis on how sleep interacts with mood regulation and symptom severity. She completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour at McMaster University, graduating summa cum laude. Her interests centre on advancing accessible, evidence-based psychological interventions for women’s mental health.
Alyssa’s academic excellence has been recognized through several competitive awards, including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Canada Graduate Scholarship – Master’s (CGS-M), The Ontario Graduate Scholarship, the CIHR Institute of Gender and Health Summer Institute Award.
