Brittany Schwende is a PhD candidate at McGill University under the supervision of Dr. Charlotte Usselman in the Cardiovascular Health and Autonomic Regulation Laboratory. Her doctoral research focuses on the autonomic regulation of blood pressure in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Specifically, she is interested in how biological features of PCOS, such as gonadal hormones and insulin resistance, intersect with gender-related variables to influence cardiovascular physiology and overall health in women with PCOS.
