Carly La Berge

Carly La Berge (she/her) is a Senior Policy Analyst at the First Nations Health Authority. She has a Master of Public Health (MPH) in social policy from the University of Victoria (UVic) and a Bachelor of Science from UBC Okanagan.

Carly worked as a medical office assistant for over five years in women-focused primary care clinics and an Obstetrician/Gynecologist’s office, where she saw firsthand the inequities in how the healthcare system serves women and children. Her research areas have focused on infanticide (mothers killing their children) and policy recommendations to improve the success rate of external cephalic versions (ECVs) for pregnant individuals. She also led a study on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on early childhood and family health for the Women’s, Maternal, and Early Childhood Health team at the BC Ministry of Health.

Carly is excited to continue bridging her public health background with her passion for dismantling inequities and disrupting the status quo to improve women’s health.
