Erin Bondy

Erin Bondy is a postdoctoral researcher and licensed psychological associate at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Her research interests lie in the dynamic interactions between ovarian hormones and immunological pathways as they relate to risk for psychopathology. In particular, her research focuses on understanding how changing hormones during the menopause transition influence inflammatory gene expression and contribute to depression and anhedonia. She is interested in studying neuroimmune changes that may be modulated through exogenous hormone manipulation. Additionally, she bridges this research interest to her clinical work as a therapist in the UNC Women’s Midlife Mood Clinic. She provides short-term behavioral interventions for depression, anxiety, and insomnia and provides supervision to predoctoral interns.
