Goretti España Irla is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Neurobiology of Hormonal Transitions at the Department of Psychiatry and Neuroscience (Campus Mitte), Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She is a trained physiotherapist and neuroscientist with expertise in neuroimaging and women’s brain health. Her research combines neuroimaging, computational approaches, and lifestyle science to investigate how hormonal transitions, including menopause, and other modifiable factors shape women’s brain health across the lifespan. She further serves as Co-Chair of the ENIGMA Neuroendocrinology Working Group – Menopause Transition and Beyond Section, fostering international research collaboration in this field. She is also a Board Member of Fisios Mundi, an international NGO, leading cooperation projects across Asia, Africa, and South America.
