Janielle Richards

Janielle Richards is one of two Blog Coordinators at the Women’s Health Research Cluster. She is a 5th year PhD candidate in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Toronto, St. George Campus.
Specializing in Behavioural Pharmacology, Neuropharmacology and brain drug metabolism, her research is focused on identifying the role of brain CYP2D enzymes in local drug concentrations and response to centrally-acting prescription opioids.
Janielle’s decision to join WHRC was influenced by her passion to improve health outcomes for women and girls especially in areas with limited  treatment options such as endometriosis. Janielle’s role is to curate, coordinate and publish content in the form of Research Blogs or Behind the Science (BTS) posts for the WHRC.
