Lindsay is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Exercise Physiology and Cardiovascular Health Lab in the Division of Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. Lindsay earned her BSc in Kinesiology from Queen’s University. She then continued her graduate studies at Queen’s receiving her MSc and PhD in Exercise Physiology, as a member of the Cardiovascular Stress Response Laboratory in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies. Her research interests include: 1) understanding how elements of sex (e.g., menstrual cycle, hormonal contraceptives, menopause) and gender influence cardiovascular function, and 2) uncovering strategies (e.g., exercise) to mitigate cardiovascular dysfunction and disease progression in women across the lifespan. She has training in several cardiovascular physiology skills, such as the assessment of arterial stiffnesses and endothelial function.
