Lucy Muir
Lucy Muir is a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Gillian Einstein. Lucy specializes in qualitative health research that aims to gain a holistic understanding of women’s lived experiences and how they relate to cognitive health outcomes. Lucy is primarily interested in menopause. She specifically studies how women with less common menopauses (early, premature, and induced) contend with the often negative social meanings of menopause and how this may exacerbate their physiological risk of cognitive decline. In line with the work at the Einstein Lab, Lucy’s overarching goal is to help elucidate factors that may contribute to neurodegenerative disease risk in women.
