I am a postdoctoral research fellow in Dr. Farida Sohrabji’s laboratory at Texas A&M University, where I study how menopause influences stroke recovery and dementia risk. My research focuses on the neuroimmune mechanisms underlying brain aging, with a particular interest in microglial biology, neuroinflammation, and sex differences in neurological disease. By combining molecular, cellular, and behavioral approaches, I aim to better understand why women experience different outcomes after stroke and to identify therapeutic strategies that improve brain health across the lifespan.

Beyond my research, I am passionate about science communication and enjoy translating complex neuroscience into engaging, accessible stories for researchers, clinicians, and the public. I have written for platforms including *The Conversation* and *Vital Record* and actively seek opportunities to communicate emerging discoveries in neuroscience and women’s health. I am excited to join the Women’s Health Research Cluster to collaborate with researchers across disciplines, contribute to advancing women’s health research, and help foster a collaborative scientific community.
