Rachel Schroeder

Dr. Rachel Schroeder earned her PhD in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Chicago where she studied menopause and midlife women’s brain health and the roles of estradiol in brain circuitry involved in mood and memory. As a postdoctoral Scholar, Dr. Schroeder is investigating midlife women’s cerebrovascular health using cutting edge neuroimaging methods to grow our understanding of how women’s heart health is related to brain health. Dr. Schroeder has been the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, a predoctoral T32 fellowship in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, and a postdoctoral T32 fellowship in Cardiovascular behavioral medicine.
