Shreeyaa Ramana

I am a graduate student in Clinical Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University, with research interests in identifying factors that contribute to risk and resilience for cognitive impairment and other forms of psychopathology. My work aims to leverage these factors to design and implement lifestyle interventions that improve health outcomes, with an emphasis on integrating sex, gender, and sociocultural intersectionality into intervention frameworks. My Master’s thesis examines the effect of mindfulness training on the biological, cognitive, and psychological wellbeing of family caregivers for persons with dementia.

I am a passionate advocate for the improvement of health equity, particularly when it comes to dementia care in marginalized communities. If you are interested in joining a community of practice of trainees and early career investigators working to advance equity in dementia care research and clinical practice, please contact me!
