Tegan Hargreaves
Tegan Hargreaves is a fourth-year PhD Candidate in the Neuroscience Graduate Program at McMaster University, working in the Peter Boris Centre for Addictions Research. Her research uses structural MRI, task-based fMRI, and functional connectivity analyses to identify neural biomarkers that predict treatment response across substance-use disorders, including alcohol, nicotine, and cannabis. Tegan’s work aims to advance precision-medicine approaches to addiction by integrating sex and gender considerations into neuroimaging research. In addition to her scientific contributions, she is actively involved in editorial leadership and science communication initiatives that promote accessible, equitable, and evidence-based knowledge translation in women’s health and neuroscience.
