Zoé Labonté

I am a research assistant at York University in the TULiP Lab, with research interests in personality pathology, psychiatric disorders, emotion dysregulation, and women’s mental health. My current work focuses on borderline personality disorder (BPD), particularly in the context of romantic relationships and couples therapy. At the TULiP Lab, I contribute to research examining therapeutic approaches and relational processes among couples in which one partner presents with BPD, with the goal of improving treatment outcomes and interpersonal functioning.

I am also involved in research exploring the experiences of women with BPD during the postpartum period, including the impact of stress, emotional dysregulation, and psychological well-being during the transition to motherhood. More broadly, I am passionate about advancing research on women’s cognition, mental health, and wellbeing, and understanding how psychiatric presentations uniquely affect women across different life stages and relational contexts.
