Andrew is a postgraduate Master’s researcher in neuroscience specialising in neuroendocrinology and autonomic control of respiration. His research focuses on pregnancy-induced respiratory adaptations, examining the role of brainstem serotonin neurons and prolactin signalling within the medullary raphe nuclei. Using optogenetics and radiotelemetry, his work aims to elucidate state-dependent neural mechanisms with relevance to maternal physiology.
