Juliana Haney, MPH, MS is a Clinical Psychology PhD Candidate at West Virginia University. She will be starting her pre-doctoral internship at Allegheny General Hospital this upcoming July. Her research centers on improving detection and treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through exploring the influence of psychosocial factors during the perinatal period such as pregnancy loss, breastfeeding self-efficacy, self-compassion, perfectionism, and the mother-infant relationship. Clinically, she is passionate about providing evidence-based person-centered care focused at the intersection of mental and physical health. She enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan experiencing distress related to anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, OCD, ADHD, perfectionism, pain, and interpersonal/relationship stressors during life-transitions (e.g., pregnancy, parenting, chronic illness, loss, etc.). She is also the “Climb” Fundraising Event Chair on the West Virginia Chapter Board for Postpartum Support International where she organizes events with the goal of building community as well as increasing awareness of perinatal mental health challenges for individuals and health care providers.
