Sexual Pain in Endometriosis Workshop
About this Event
This is a one-day workshop for people with endometriosis along with their families, friends, and partners to learn about causes of sexual pain in endometriosis and tools to manage this pain.
Guest Speakers include;
Dr. Lori Brotto, Canadian psychologist best known for her work on female sexual arousal and mindfulness.
Dr. Paul Yong, Research Director for the Endometriosis & Pelvic Pain Laboratory at the University of British Columbia and specialist in endometriosis associated sexual pain.
Lana Barry, Chronic Conditions Self-Management Program Coordinator and Women’s Sexual Health Advocate.
We will be running a research study to evaluate the workshop. This study is not mandatory. You may attend the workshop without completing the questionnaires. Your participation in this study will allow us to see if the workshop was useful in providing valuable information on self-help tools and treatments, and education on sexual pain in endometriosis. Your feedback is very important to use to improve our future workshops to target them to the needs to the endometriosis population and family/friends/partners.
The research study consists of 2 questionnaires, one before (about 5 minutes to complete) and one after the workshop (about 10 minutes to complete). You will receive an email 3 days before the workshop with more information on this study.
