Dr. Liisa Galea Elected as Fellow to Canadian Academy of Health Sciences

Dr. Liisa Galea, Cluster lead, Senior Scientist at CAMH and Treliving Family Chair in Women’s Mental Health, has recently been elected as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, one of the highest honours for health sciences research.
Election as a fellow is a comprehensive process which involves nomination and peer review, aiming to recognize those with a record of substantial accomplishment. Through this fellowship, Dr. Galea will join the ranks of the country’s top health scientists, who evaluate Canada’s most complex health challenges and recommend strategic, actionable solutions. She will now have the opportunity to bring urgent research on women’s health to the table and advocate for policies and initiatives that address long-standing gaps in care, ultimately improving health outcomes for women and all Canadians.
