Elvisha Dhamala, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Behavioral Sciences at the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research at Northwell Health where she directs the Brain-Based Predictive Modeling Laboratory. Her research program seeks to characterize the neurobiological underpinnings of human behavior, with an emphasis on understanding the extent to which these brain-behavior relationships are shared or unique across sexes and genders in healthy and psychiatric populations. This research focus is largely motivated by the search for sex- and gender- specific neural underpinnings of complex behaviors, which may underlie distinct manifestations of affective and psychotic psychopathology across sexes and genders.
