Sex-based research is a crucial component of health science, and Emily’s work focuses on exploring sex differences in autoimmunity, particularly the inflammatory mechanisms linked to cognitive decline following oophorectomy and the sex-based differences observed in Multiple Sclerosis. Her research spans in-vivo models to uncover the underlying mechanisms of these conditions, as well as human studies to better understand these effects in clinical populations.
