Mack is a Master’s student in the Clinical Neuroscience program at the University of Calgary, where his research investigates persisting post-concussion symptoms. His research is conducted under the supervision of Dr. Chantel Debert and includes a clinical trial examining the safety, feasibility, and efficacy of psilocybin-assisted therapy for this condition. He also contributes to a related study focusing on post-traumatic stress disorder in a population of intimate partner violence survivors using a similar therapeutic approach. Mack’s interest in this area is informed by his personal experience as a former high-level hockey player whose career was impacted by concussions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Dalhousie University and is originally from Kingston, Ontario.
