Stephanie (she/her) has a Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience in Psychology. Her research interests include the cognitive and neurobiological effects of reproductive hormones in the context of menopause, memory, and aging. This includes the natural fluctuations in reproductive hormones across the lifespan as well as exogenous hormone exposures (e.g., hormone-containing contraceptives and hormone therapies). Her doctoral research focused on the impacts of variations in surgical menopause, including hysterectomy, on spatial learning and memory in a preclinical rat model. Stephanie’s postdoctoral research evaluated immune-endocrine-ecological interactions related to chronic diseases of aging in humans. Stephanie has worked as a full-time medical writer since 2022, with a focus on oncology, rheumatology, and rare disease therapeutic areas.
