I am an interdisciplinary researcher specializing in perinatal and maternal health promotion for individuals with childhood-onset disabilities. My work is grounded in critical medical anthropology (CMA) and explores how socio-cultural and bio-cultural determinants impact health outcomes during pregnancy, postpartum, and transitional care periods. Through a mixed-methods approach, l investigate the unique barriers faced by this population, aiming to inform evidence-based policies and equitable healthcare solutions. I am committed to translating research into actionable strategies that enhance health equity, support effective knowledge translation, and improve care pathways for marginalized communities while contributing to the education of emerging health and social science researchers.
